Nicola Figliuolo (Italy) was born in Potenza where he lives and works. At the age of fifteen he began to photograph, by chance, with his older brother's Bencini Comet NK 135 and, after a while, he also began to experience the magical atmosphere of the darkroom by developing the black and white rolls and printing his own photos.

Since then, he has always had to do with the noble art of "writing with light" both professionally and for passion: since 1980 photographer of MIBACT (Ministry for Environmental, Cultural and Tourism Heritage, his images are present in about eighty publications, about half of which are catalogs of national and international exhibitions); he was also an officer in charge of the photographic archive of the Superintendence of Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Basilicata.

Landscape photographer by vocation (he has a great dedication to his land, Basilicata, to which he dedicates almost all of his shots), he does not disdain occasional forays into the field of urban architecture and street photography.

His works were recently exhibited in the exhibition curated by EXPOPHOTO "Italy Taste Of Beauty" in October 2017 in Rome and in Cagliari in February 2019; he also participated in 2017 in the "XVIth China International Photographic Art Exhibition" in Lishui, China.
